AKA Little Voice

AKA Little Voice is a designer, artist, writer and producer, penning personal essays born out of current events and social media scuffles. A GenX girl in a Y & Z world, She grew up in San Francisco, CA and graduated from UCLA, with a degree in Foreign Languages & Literature.

After lengthy careers in entertainment, fashion and marketing, AKA Little Voice revisited past daydreams to explore art, writing and producing.

Her blind contour, “no look” illustrative style drawings, often accompany her writing, and are influenced by Jean Dubuffet and the Art Brut/Outsider Art movement. Fashion, beauty and design inspire her drawings. “No Look” refers to looking only at the subject while drawing to feel her way through every contour. She refers to her illustrations as “belle BRUT,” roughly translated as raw, unrefined beauty.

Currently, AKA Little Voice is producing music, a documentary film, and working on an autobiographical novel and book of essays. She is also the founder of a mental health advocacy organization for Black mental health and wellness.
