Art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember honestly. My parents laugh about how they were frantically trying to keep me from coloring on the walls when I was a young child. But nonetheless, I have always been a creative. As I've gotten older my work has become a safe space, one where I can speak my truth, unfasten the buttons of my emotions, and lay bare in naked vulnerability. It's saved my life. It's given me purpose. I write, I paint, I take photos because it allows me to alter reality. I can freeze time, move mountains, or move at the speed of light. Art gives me the power to move and shape the world. I hope to shape it in such a way that the hardships and sufferings we experience are at least lessened, if I cannot unburden society entirely. Art is a lifeline, and I plan to stretch the thread for as long as possible.
